Membership

These are community members who have a direct stake in the programming offered by The Centre, either because they have directly financially contributed or because they are a part of the communities covered by our mandate.

The Collective Membership is made up of individuals who have been directly involved in day-today operations at the Centre within the previous membership term. There are several tiers of membership within the collective. Individuals who are a part of the general membership may also be a part of the collective.

The board of directors ensures that all programming, outreach and work done by staff and volunteers is accurately, ethically and effectively upholding the Centre’s mandate and its responsibilities to the membership. It functions as a kind of accountability for the organization and signs off on the budget, hiring and firing decisions and internal policies.
